Quad City Testing Laboratory, Inc., in conjuction with Allied Services Group, introduces a revolutionary concept in chain wear monitoring services.  Through the use of our state-of-the-art scanning infrared photoelectric systems, we now provide portable in-motion chain monitoring that identifies wear.  This service provides a means to measure each link of your conveyor chain between the leading edges of each center link, with accuracy exceeding +/-0.02" without any downtime or production disruption. This link-to-link measurement approach provides data which would go undetected with standard ten foot monitoring practices.

Typically, a conveyor chain is replaced because of repetitive malfunctions, breakage during production, or when standard monitoring discovers an arbitrary ten-foot section of chain, that measures beyound the 124"(the point where most chain manufacturers recommend you replace your entire systems chain). This service will provide your maintenance department with the ability to replace individual links or pins that show abnormal wear,a benfit that cannot be realized by simply monitoring ten-foot sections.

It is ideal for production facilities that need to minimize down time, improve maintenance planning, and wish to benefit from significantly reduced equipment replacement costs.

Automated abnormality identification and marking systems identify each link that is above the wear threshold. Through the use of our trending analysis software, periodic monitoring will allow for planned replacement of chain only when it is truly needed.

Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, nationwide, this battery powered portable system is compatible with all standard trolley sizes and drops using 3", 4" and 6" chain.
